They have worked well at my house

They have worked well at my house. Have not had a gutter blockage in 4 years and it was a constant problem before as we live in an oak forest!
My leaves at home are mostly oak. i just installed the brushes at work where the pine needles where may be more of a challenge. However its very difficult to clean out the gutters there so we hope the brushes perform well there as well. Not very expensive and super easy to install. Cheers

So far, so good!

I purchased these gutter guards during the time that there a very few leaves falling and little rain, so they haven't been put to the test yet. I can say that customer service is spot on and so is delivery. Installation is very easy (so far, as I'm not finished yet). If I have a chance, I'll review later after we have heavy rains with lots of falling leaves.

Awesome Product for Apartment Patios

This is an awesome product, but I didn’t use it for traditional gutters. I live in a ground floor apartment. The gardeners are constantly blowing leaves into my patio from the small opening underneath the patio wall. So I placed the brushes under the wall. Perfect! Leaves can’t come in, but water can drain out. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

How long has GutterBrush been on the Market

How long does GutterBrush last out in the gutter?

GutterBrush is made with quality UV protected bristles and a Galvanized steel core to last many years out in the elements. It has been sold for over 21 years and we do not hear at all about material problems or problems with longevity. It comes with a 10 year Material Warranty and it lasts far longer.

Will leaves and tree debris get stuck in the GutterBrush bristles?

Sure, leaves and tree debris will get lodged in the bristles of the brush but the gutter will not clog. Rain water flows around debris and between the bristles and out the downspouts.

How does GutterBrush keep the gutter from clogging?

Learn more at our "how It Works" page. Leaves and debris that are stuck in the brush can not cause a clog. Gutters clog in 2 ways. Leaves and debris lay on the bottom of the gutter and when it rains, the water level raises the debris and floats it where it gets hung up and either makes a (1) Dam or blockage across the gutter or (2) debris clumps together and makes a large "plug" that can not fit out the downspout outlet so it clogs the outlet. When GutterBrush is protecting the gutter, debris is "divided and conquered". Debris can not move so it can not flow to create a dam and it can not flow to make a larger clump. If debris can not move, it can not clog the gutter and the gutter continues to flow.

How Does it last without clogging, any other factors?

Debris that is stuck in the brush is not laying on the bottom of the gutter; instead it is lodged in the bristles, exposed to the sun and has abundant airflow surrounding. The leaves and debris really cook when they are exposed to the sun with surrounding air flow. Very quickly the debris breaks down and decays and flows through as particulate matter adding to the longevity.

Can GutterBrush be cleaned and renewed to start over?

Yes, that is the beauty of a system that is self fitting and requires no fastening. At some point, if or when necessary, Gutterbrush can be removed and you can bang it on a hard surface to get the debris to drop out. Clean the gutter and reinstall completely renewed and ready to start again.

How long will it go before needing maintenance?

All gutter guards, screens, mesh and covers out in a debris falling area will need maintenance in order to keep from clogging. Every gutter is different based on the height of the gutter, slope of the roof, types of trees, height and volume of trees, wind patterns, etc. Some gutters protected by GutterBrush go in excess of 6 or 7 years without needing maintenance while others will need maintenance more often. Measuring your commercial grade gutters is the fastest way to determine the brush diameter size you need. The 7-Inch GutterBrush has an actual diameter of 6.5 inches and is designed for 7 inch gutters. The 8-Inch GutterBrush also solves clogs and keeps water flowing in a larger 8 inch or even 9 inch gutters. GutterBrush will effectively solve gutter clogging even if it is slightly undersized for the gutter.

GutterBrush Brush Gutter Guard Fit Criteria

To fit your large or other size gutter, you want to choose the GutterBrush diameter that fills the width of the gutter as fully as possible without overly compressing the bristles. In some cases it may be desirable for the brush to have a crowned or raised bristle profile, which is slightly higher than the outer edge of the gutter. This allows the wind to purge leaves from the brush. The raised profile is not always necessary and not possible in many metal building gutters known as Sculpted Eave Gutters.

When a raised profile of the brush is not desirable or possible:

1) Some commercial buildings have a raised gutter outer edge that is actually higher than the roof drip edge. Having the GutterBrush profile raised higher than the roof drip edge is usually not desirable.

2) Many gutter styles have a gutter width that is different than the gutter depth. If a gutter is taller than it is wide, a raised profile would not be possible.

FITTING - Get Sizing Samples

Getting the right size:  To decide which GutterBrush size will work best inside your gutter, you can measure the inside dimensions to determine which GutterBrush product will best fill your gutter (without overly compressing the bristles.)   Such can be a challenge because many  gutters have complicated shapes with multiple angles and corners. The best way to be sure you purchase the best size is to set multiple different sample sizes into the gutter and compare the fit, as follows. 

1)  Buy our commercial sizing sample pack ( SKU smp-all ) which contains 18" length samples of 5 GutterBrush diameter sizes:

2)  Once received, set each sample in the gutter and decide which size best fills the width of the gutter without overly compressing the bristles.
