Why is GutterBrush better than a gutter screen in a super Gutter

Thank you for the question.  " Why is GutterBrush better than a screen in a super gutter?

GutterBrush replies to Roberts question about gutter clogging in a super Gutter.

The screen would of course be much more difficult to install.  Gutter guards, gutter screens , gutter covers and mesh are not made for Super Gutters and customizing can be very laborious, expensive and can result in lots of screw holes in undesirable areas.

Often the super gutter is flanked on one side by a sloped screen and a roof on the other side.  This is a trouble spot.  The wind is not very effective at moving the debris out of there; so we can expect just about all of the debris to enter the gutter or lay on the screen.

The issue is that the system MUST allow the water into the gutter.

The gutter is 9 inches wide so if you install a screen you have about 9 inches of surface area to allow the water into the gutter.  The screen ends up terminating or attaching to the outer edge of the gutter so when debris and leaves lay on the screen, they begin to decrease the surface area that allows the water to get into the gutter.  When lots of leaves lay on the screen, it becomes like a shelf which is like a ramp leading the fast water past the gutter.  When the screen gets covered enough, it needs to be maintained or it becomes the reason  the water is not entering the gutter.  Screens restrict the gutter opening, decreasing the water’s access to the gutter.

The GutterBrush will perform better and will go a much longer period of time without clogging before needing maintenance.  The gutter will not clog.

GutterBrush is different.  It's like a 3 dimensional screen.   It does not restrict the gutter opening because GutterBrush is entirely in the gutter.  Leaves can lay on and cover the GutterBrush, but the water will roll off and still go into the gutter because the entire diameter of brush is down in the gutter.  The bristles draw water into the gutter.  No other gutter guard accepts water as well as GutterBrush.  It is clog protection.  Its a protected flow channel so once the water enters the gutter, it has the entire 360 degree circumference of area to enter the flow channel and flow through to the downspout.  The entire circumference of a 8" diameter is 2 x Pie x r or 2 x 3.14 x 4  or around 25 inches of surface for the water to enter the flow channel of the brush.

Addtionally,  when leaves get stuck in the bristles, they have abundant airflow surrounding them and the sun really decays them, quickly.   There is tiny particulate matter flow-through that occurs and extends how long Gutterbrush can go without maintenance.  In a matter of just a few months, a leaf can go from healthy to just a hair skeleton of its former self.

Yes you can blow it off but some of the leaves will be stuck.   At some point, nothing is fastened so our customers can remove the brush and banh it on the ground to get the debris to fall out; clean the gutter and reinstall renewed and ready to start again.  Every home is different as far as when it might need maintenance.

The gutter will not clog.  Even when it is time to perform maintenance,  the gutter still is not clogged and water is exiting the downspouts.
